about

Live at Kino Kijow, Kraków, October 22, 2010.

Direct mixing desk feed with additional room ambiance.
Sound Engineer: Daniel Rejmer.

No overdubs.
All click and distortion are from the original source and location ambience.

The theme for Unsound 2010 was "Horror, the pleasure of fear and unease".
The improvised performance recorded here was approached with that in mind.

With special thanks to Mat Schulz, Gosia Plysa, Katarzyna Stuczyńska, Maciu Maciejewski, Rafał Nowicki and all the Unsound crew and volunteers.

Cover photo by Anna Spysz.

To hear Lustmord’s music as loud as it was on this night – and so to experience the full extent of the sub-bass that girds and grounds it – was to realise how inadequate the term “ambient” is to describe it.At times the low-end assault was such that I was hearing the rafters of the building shaking more than I was the actual tones.
Kiran Sande / FACT

Lustmord would provide mirrored, moody visuals and dark, devilish tones that would make any one with a mind and soul get chills instantaneously. While at times brooding with unrelenting bass and uncomfortable, it was an experience that was memorable because of what it could have embodied, a journey to the darkness that’s unknown to the world. Perhaps this is the best interpretation we can get, and by all means it was uncomfortable but surely appreciated and acknowledged by everyone who left with a chill in their spine.
